Chandogya Upanishad 4.75

अथ यदि सामतो रिष्येत्स्वः स्वाहेत्याहवनीये जुहुयात्साम्नामेव तद्रसेन साम्नां वीर्येण साम्नां यज्ञस्य विरिष्टं सन्दधाति ॥ ६ ॥

4.17.6 — atha yadi samato rishyetsvah svahetyahavaniye juhuyatsamnameva tadrasena samnam viryena samnam yajnasya virishtam sandadhati || 6 ||

Moreover, if there should come an injury in connection with the Saman chants, one should make an oblation in the eastern (Ahavanlya) fire with the words ' war \ Hail i ' So by Q the essence of the Saman chants, by the po\ver of the Saman chants he mends the injury to the Saman chants of the sacrifice.

और यदि साम-वेद की ओर से टूट जाये, तो 'स्वः स्वाहा' कहकर आहवनीय-अग्नि में आहुति दे — इस प्रकार वह सामनों के ही रस तथा वीर्य से साम-यज्ञ की टूटन को जोड़ देता है।
