Chandogya Upanishad 5.21

अथ प्रतिसृप्याञ्जलौ मन्थमाधाय जपत्यमो नामास्यमा हि ते सर्वमिदँ स हि ज्येष्ठः श्रेष्ठो राजाधिपतिः स मा ज्यैष्ठ्यँ श्रैष्ठ्यँ राज्यमाधिपत्यं गमयत्वहमेवेदँ सर्वमसानीति ॥ ६ ॥

5.2.6 — atha pratisripyanjalau manthamadhaya japatyamo namasyama hi te sarvamidan sa hi jyeshthah shreshtho rajadhipatih sa ma jyaishthyan shraishthyan rajyamadhipatyam gamayatvahamevedan sarvamasaniti || 6 ||

Then going forward and placing the mash ​in his hands, he recites: 'Thou (Prâna) art Ama by name, for all this together exists in thee. He is the oldest and best, the king, the sovereign. May he make me the oldest, the best, the king, the sovereign. May I be all this.'

तदनन्तर आगे बढ़कर, अञ्जलि में मन्थ लेकर यह जप करे — 'अम नाम वाले हो तुम, तुम्हारे ही भीतर यह सब निहित है, क्योंकि तुम ज्येष्ठ, श्रेष्ठ, राजा और अधिपति हो। मुझे ज्येष्ठत्व, श्रेष्ठत्व, राज्य तथा आधिपत्य की ओर ले चलो। मैं ही यह सब हो जाऊँ।'
