Chandogya Upanishad 5.53

अथ ह य एतानेवं पञ्चाग्नीन्वेद न सह तैरप्याचरन्पाप्मना लिप्यते शुद्धः पूतः पुण्यलोको भवति य एवं वेद य एवं वेद ॥ १० ॥

5.10.10 — atha ha ya etanevam panchagninveda na saha tairapyacharanpapmana lipyate shuddhah putah punyaloko bhavati ya evam veda ya evam veda || 10 ||

'But he who thus knows the five fires is not defiled by sin even though he associates with them. He who knows this, is pure, clean, and obtains the world of the blessed, yea, he obtains the world of the blessed.'

'किन्तु जो इन पाँच अग्नियों को इस प्रकार जानता है, वह इनके साथ आचरण करते हुए भी पाप से लिप्त नहीं होता। वह शुद्ध, पूत, पुण्य-लोक वाला होता है — जो इस प्रकार जानता है, जो इस प्रकार जानता है।'
