Chandogya Upanishad 5.60

तान्होवाच प्रातर्वः प्रतिवक्तास्मीति ते ह समित्पाणयः पूर्वाह्णे प्रतिचक्रमिरे तान्हानुपनीयै वैतदुवाच ॥ ७ ॥

5.11.7 — tanhovacha pratarvah prativaktasmiti te ha samitpanayah purvahne pratichakramire tanhanupaniyai vaitaduvacha || 7 ||

He said: 'To-morrow I shall give you an answer.' Therefore on the next morning they approached him, carrying fuel in their hands (like students), and he, without first demanding any preparatory rites, said to them:
