Chandogya Upanishad 5.88

तस्मादु हैवंविद्यद्यपि चण्डालायोच्छिष्टं प्रयच्छेदात्मनि हैवास्य तद्वैश्वानरे हुतँ स्यादिति तदेष श्लोकः ॥ ४ ॥

5.24.4 — tasmadu haivamvidyadyapi chandalayochchhishtam prayachchhedatmani haivasya tadvaishvanare hutan syaditi tadesha shlokah || 4 ||

'Even if he gives what is left of his food to a Kandâla, it would be offered in his (the Kandâla's) Vaisvânara Self. And so it is said in this Sloka:—

'इसलिए ऐसा जानने वाला यदि अपना उच्छिष्ट चण्डाल को भी दे दे, तो वह उसके ही वैश्वानर में हवन हो जाता है। इस पर यह श्लोक है —'
