Chandogya Upanishad 6.46

ते यथा तत्र न विवेकं लभन्तेऽमुष्याहं वृक्षस्य रसोऽस्म्यमुष्याहं वृक्षस्य रसोऽस्मीत्येवमेव खलु सोम्येमाः सर्वाः प्रजाः सति सम्पद्य न विदुः सति सम्पद्यामह इति ॥ २ ॥

6.9.2 — te yatha tatra na vivekam labhante'mushyaham vrikshasya raso'smyamushyaham vrikshasya raso'smityevameva khalu somyemah sarvah prajah sati sampadya na viduh sati sampadyamaha iti || 2 ||

'And as these juices have no discrimination, so that they might say, I am the juice of this tree or that, in the same manner, my son, all these creatures, when they have become merged in the True (either in deep sleep or in death), know not that they are merged in the True.

'और जैसे उन रसों को यह विवेक नहीं रहता कि "मैं अमुक वृक्ष का रस हूँ, मैं अमुक वृक्ष का रस हूँ" — वैसे ही हे सौम्य, ये समस्त प्रजाएँ, सत् में लीन होकर, नहीं जानतीं कि "हम सत् में लीन हैं।"'
