Chandogya Upanishad 6.64

पुरुषँ सोम्योतोपतापिनं ज्ञातयः पर्युपासते जानासि मां जानासि मामिति । तस्य यावन्न वाङ्मनसि सम्पद्यते मनः प्राणे प्राणस्तेजसि तेजः परस्यां देवतायां तावज्जानाति ॥ १ ॥

6.15.1 — purushan somyotopatapinam jnatayah paryupasate janasi mam janasi mamiti | tasya yavanna vanmanasi sampadyate manah prane pranastejasi tejah parasyam devatayam tavajjanati || 1 ||

'If a man is ill, his relatives assemble round him and ask: "Dost thou know me? Dost thou know me?" Now as long as his speech is not ​ merged in his mind, his mind in breath, breath in heat (fire), heat in the Highest Being (devatâ), he knows them.

'हे सौम्य, रोग से पीड़ित पुरुष को उसके सम्बन्धी घेरकर बैठते हैं और पूछते हैं — "मुझे पहचानता है? मुझे पहचानता है?" जब तक उसकी वाणी मन में लीन नहीं हुई, मन प्राण में, प्राण तेज में, तेज परम देवता में — तब तक वह उन्हें पहचानता है।'
