Chandogya Upanishad 7.11

तानि ह वा एतानि सङ्कल्पैकायनानि सङ्कल्पात्मकानि सङ्कल्पे प्रतिष्ठितानि समकॢपतां द्यावापृथिवी समकल्पेतां वायुश्चाकाशं च समकल्पन्तापश्च तेजश्च तेषाँ सङ्कॢप्त्यै वर्षँ सङ्कल्पते वर्षस्य सङ्कॢप्त्या अन्नँ सङ्कल्पतेऽन्नस्य सङ्कॢप्त्यै प्राणाः सङ्कल्पन्ते प्राणानाँ सङ्कॢप्त्यै मन्त्राः सङ्कल्पन्ते मन्त्राणाँ सङ्कॢप्त्यै कर्माणि सङ्कल्पन्ते कर्मणां सङ्कॢप्त्यै लोकः सङ्कल्पते लोकस्य सङ्कॢप्त्यै सर्वँ सङ्कल्पते स एष सङ्कल्पः सङ्कल्पमुपास्स्वेति ॥ २ ॥

7.4.2 — tani ha va etani sankalpaikayanani sankalpatmakani sankalpe pratishthitani samaklipatam dyavaprithivi samakalpetam vayushchakasham cha samakalpantapashcha tejashcha teshan sankliptyai varshan sankalpate varshasya sankliptya annan sankalpate'nnasya sankliptyai pranah sankalpante prananan sankliptyai mantrah sankalpante mantranan sankliptyai karmani sankalpante karmanam sankliptyai lokah sankalpate lokasya sankliptyai sarvan sankalpate sa esha sankalpah sankalpamupassveti || 2 ||

'All these therefore (beginning with mind and ​ending in sacrifice) centre in will, consist of will, abide in will. Heaven and earth willed, air and ether willed, water and fire willed. Through the will of heaven and earth &c. rain wills; through the will of rain food wills; through the will of food the vital airs will; through the will of the vital airs the sacred hymns will; through the will of the sacred hymns the sacrifices will; through the will of the sacrifices the world (as their reward) wills; through the will of the world everything wills. This is will. Meditate on will.

'यह सब — नामादि से कर्मान्त तक — संकल्प में ही एकायन (एक-लक्ष्य) हैं, संकल्पात्मक हैं, संकल्प में ही प्रतिष्ठित हैं। द्यौ-पृथिवी संकल्प से बने; वायु-आकाश, जल-तेज भी। उन सब के संकल्प से वर्षा संकल्पित होती है, वर्षा के संकल्प से अन्न, अन्न के संकल्प से प्राण, प्राणों के संकल्प से मन्त्र, मन्त्रों के संकल्प से कर्म, कर्मों के संकल्प से लोक, लोक के संकल्प से सब कुछ। यही संकल्प है। संकल्प की उपासना करो।'
