Chandogya Upanishad 7.29

स य आकाशं ब्रह्मेत्युपास्त आकाशवतो वै स लोकान्प्रकाशवतोऽसम्बाधानुरुगायवतोऽभिसिध्यति यावदाकाशस्य गतं तत्रास्य यथाकामचारो भवति य आकाशं ब्रह्मेत्युपास्तेऽस्ति भगव आकाशाद्भूय इति आकाशाद्वाव भूयोऽस्तीति तन्मे भगवान्ब्रवीत्विति ॥ २ ॥

7.12.2 — sa ya aakasham brahmetyupasta aakashavato vai sa lokanprakashavato'sambadhanurugayavato'bhisidhyati yavadakashasya gatam tatrasya yathakamacharo bhavati ya aakasham brahmetyupaste'sti bhagava aakashadbhuya iti aakashadvava bhuyo'stiti tanme bhagavanbravitviti || 2 ||

He who meditates on ether as Brahman, obtains the worlds of ether and of light, which are free from pressure and pain, wide and spacious; he is, as it were, lord and master as far as ether reaches — he who meditates on ether as Brahman.'

'जो आकाश को ब्रह्म मानकर उपासना करता है, वह आकाशवान्, प्रकाशवान्, असम्बाध और उरुगायवान् (विशाल-विस्तृत) लोकों को प्राप्त करता है; जहाँ तक आकाश की गति है वहाँ तक स्वच्छन्द विचरता है। 'भगवन्, आकाश से भी अधिक कुछ है?' 'हाँ।' 'तो बताइये।'
