The Dhammapada ('Verses of the Dhamma') is a collection of 423 verses in Pali, attributed to the Buddha. Part of the Khuddaka Nikaya in the Sutta Pitaka, it is the most widely read Buddhist scripture. Its 26 vaggas cover liberation through right thought, ethical conduct, and mental discipline.
