Dhammapada 11.8

अनेकजातिसंसारं सन्धाविस्सं अनिब्बिसं | गहकारकं गवेसन्तो दुक्खा जाति पुनप्पुनं ॥

anekajatisamsaram sandhavissam anibbisam | gahakarakam gavesanto dukkha jati punappunam ||

Through many rounds of rebirth I wandered without finding, seeking the builder of this house. Painful is repeated birth.

अनेक जन्मों के संसार में मैं बिना पाए भटकता रहा, इस घर (शरीर) के बनाने वाले (तृष्णा) को खोजता हुआ। बार-बार जन्म लेना दुःखद है।
