Dhammapada 16.2

मा पियेहि समागञ्छि, अप्पियेहि कुदाचनं। पियानं अदस्सनं दुक्खं, अप्पियानञ्च दस्सनं॥

ma piyehi samagacchi, appiyehi kudacanam; piyanam adassanam dukkham, appiyanancha dassanam.

Do not associate with the dear, nor ever with the unloved. Not seeing the dear is painful, and so is seeing the unloved.

प्रियों से संसर्ग मत करो, अप्रियों से तो कभी नहीं। प्रियों का न दिखना दुःख है, और अप्रियों का दिखना भी दुःख है।
