Dhammapada 17.4

सच्चं भणे न कुज्झेय्य, दज्जा अप्पस्मिम्पि याचितो। एतेहि तीहि ठानेहि, गच्छे देवान सन्तिके॥

saccam bhane na kujjheyya, dajja appasmimpi yacito; etehi tihi thanehi, gacche devanam santike.

Speak the truth, do not give way to anger, give when asked even from the little you have — by these three things one may reach the presence of the gods.

सत्य बोलो, क्रोध मत करो, माँगने पर थोड़े से भी दो। इन तीन बातों से देवताओं की निकटता प्राप्त होती है।
