Dhammapada 19.8

यस्स चेतं समुच्छिन्नं, मूलघच्चं समूहतं। स वन्तदोसो मेधावी, साधुरूपोति वुच्चति॥

yassa cetam samucchinnam, mulaghaccham samuhutam; sa vantadoso medhavi, sadhurupo ti vuccati.

But the one in whom these faults are cut off, uprooted and destroyed — that wise one, purged of ill-will, is truly called good.

किंतु जिसने इन दोषों को जड़ से काट दिया और नष्ट किया हो — वह दोष-वर्जित विवेकशील व्यक्ति 'साधुरूप' कहलाता है।
