Dhammapada 24.13

एतं दळ्हं बन्धनमाहु धीरा ओहारिनं सिथिलदुप्पमुञ्चं। एतम्पि छेत्वान परिब्बजन्ति अनपेक्खिनो कामसुखं पहाय॥

etam dalham bandhanamahu dhira oharinam sithiladuppamuncam, etampi chetvana paribbajanti anapekkkhino kamasukham pahaya.

That is a strong bond, say the wise, which drags one down, is loose yet hard to escape. Having cut even this, they wander forth, with no longing, renouncing sensual pleasures.

धीर पुरुष कहते हैं — यह दृढ़ बंधन है, यह नीचे की ओर खींचता है, ढीला होते हुए भी दुष्टछेद्य है। इसको भी काटकर, अपेक्षारहित होकर, काम-सुख को त्यागकर लोग प्रव्रजित हो जाते हैं।
