Dhammapada 24.26

तिणदोसानि खेत्तानि इच्छादोसा अयं पजा। तस्मा हि विगतिच्छेसु दिन्नं होति महप्फलं॥

tinadosani khettani icchadosa ayam paja, tasma hi vigaticchhesu dinnam hoti mahapphalam.

Weeds are the bane of fields; desire is the bane of humankind. Therefore what is given to those free from desire yields great fruit.

खेतों का दोष तृण है, और इस प्रजा का दोष इच्छा है — इसलिए विगत-इच्छा पुरुषों को दिया गया दान महाफल वाला होता है।
