Dhammapada 25.9

मेत्ताविहारी यो भिक्खु पसन्नो बुद्धसासने। अधिगच्छे पदं सन्तं सङ्खारूपसमं सुखं॥

mettavihari yo bhikkhu pasanno buddhasasane, adhigacche padam santam sankharupasamam sukham.

The monk who abides in loving-kindness, who is devoted to the Buddha's teaching — that one will attain the peaceful state, the stilling of conditioned things, the bliss.

जो भिक्षु मैत्री-विहारी है और बुद्ध-शासन में प्रसन्न है — वह उस शांत पद को, संस्कारों के उपशम वाले उस सुख को प्राप्त करता है।
