Dhammapada 26.12

किं ते जटाहि दुम्मेध किं ते अजिनसाटिया। अब्भन्तरं ते गहनं बाहिरं परिमज्जसि॥

kim te jatahi dummedha kim te ajinasatiya, abbhantaram te gahanam bahiram parimajjasi.

What use are your matted locks, O fool? What use is your garment of antelope skin? Within you there is the tangle; you only groom the exterior.

दुर्मेध, तेरी जटाओं से क्या? तेरे मृगचर्म वस्त्र से क्या? भीतर तेरा गहन वन है, और तू बाहरी मार्जन करता रहता है।
