Dhammapada 26.3

यस्स पारं अपारं वा पारापारं न विज्जति। वीतद्दरं विसंयुत्तं तमहं ब्रूमि ब्राह्मणं॥

yassa param aparam va paraaparam na vijjati, vitaddaram visamyuttam tamaham brumi brahmanam.

One for whom there is neither this shore nor the other shore nor both, who is free from fear and unshackled — that one I call a brahmana.

जिसके लिए न पार है, न अपार, न पारापार — जो वीत-दर (निर्भय) और विसंयुक्त (निर्बंध) है — उसे मैं ब्राह्मण कहता हूँ।
