Guru Granth Sahib 2.26

ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਸੰਤ ਸੁਣੀਐ ਹਰਿ ਕੀ ਕਥਾ ॥ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਤੇ ਪਾਈ ਜਾਇ ਕਥਾ ਸੁ ਸਤ ਕੀ ॥ ਕਥਾ ਸੁ ਸਤ ਕੀ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਪਾਈ ਅੰਤਰ ਕਪਟੁ ਦੂਰਿ ਹੋਈ ॥ ਸਚੁ ਸੁਣਿਐ ਸਚੁ ਮੰਨੀਐ ਤਾ ਸਚੁ ਕਮਾਈ ਹੋਈ ॥ ਕਹੈ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਸੰਤਹੁ ਹਰਿ ਕੀ ਕਥਾ ਸੁਣੀਐ ਤਾ ਪਾਪ ਸਭ ਜਾਈ ॥੨੬॥

har ke sant suneeai har kee kathaa. satiguroo te paaee jaai kathaa su sat kee. kathaa su sat kee gurmukh paaee antar kapat door hoee. sach suniai sach manneeai taa sach kamaaee hoee. kahai naanak santahu har kee kathaa suneeai taa paap sabh jaaee.

Through the Lord's Saints, listen to the Lord's story. Through the True Guru, the true story is obtained. The true story is obtained through the Gurmukh, and inner deceit is removed. Hearing the Truth, believing in the Truth, one practices the Truth. Says Nanak, O Saints, listen to the Lord's story and all sins shall depart.

हरि के संतो, हरि की कथा सुनो। सतगुरु से ही वह सत्य-कथा मिलती है। वह सत्य-कथा गुरमुख ही पाता है; भीतर का कपट दूर होता है। सच्चा सुनो, सच्चा मानो, तब सच्ची कमाई होगी। नानक कहते हैं — हे संतो, हरि की कथा सुनो, सब पाप मिट जाएँगे।
