Guru Granth Sahib 2.33

ਏ ਮਨ ਮੇਰਿਆ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਸੇਵਿ ਤੂ ਨਿਹਚਲੁ ਪਾਵਹਿ ॥ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਸੇਵਿ ਨਿਹਚਲੁ ਪਾਵਹਿ ਜਨਮ ਮਰਣ ਦੁਖ ਜਾਵਹਿ ॥ ਗੁਰ ਸੇਵਿ ਸਚੁ ਪਾਈਐ ਸਦਾ ਮੁਕਤੁ ਕਹਾਵੈ ॥ ਕਹੈ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਮੰਨ ਮੇਰੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਸੇਵਿ ਤੂ ਨਿਹਚਲੁ ਪਾਵਹਿ ॥੩੩॥

e man meriaa satigur sev too nihchal paaveh. satigur sev nihchal paaveh janam maran dukh jaaveh. gur sev sach paaeeai sadaa mukat kahaavai. kahai naanak mann mere satigur sev too nihchal paaveh.

O my mind, serve the True Guru and you shall obtain the eternal, unchanging Lord. Serving the True Guru, you shall obtain the eternal Lord, and the pains of birth and death shall depart. Serving the Guru, Truth is obtained and one is forever called liberated. Says Nanak, O my mind, serve the True Guru and you shall obtain the eternal, unchanging Lord.

हे मेरे मन, सतगुरु की सेवा कर, तू निश्चल पद पाएगा। सतगुरु की सेवा कर, निश्चल पद पाएगा; जन्म-मरण के दुख मिटेंगे। गुरु की सेवा से सच्चा मिलता है; सदा मुक्त कहलाता है। नानक कहते हैं — हे मेरे मन, सतगुरु की सेवा कर, निश्चल पद पाएगा।
