Verse 1
Sukhmani — Psalm of Peace. The Name of God is the Ambrosial Nectar of Peace. It abides in the minds of the devotees. Pause.
Verse 2
Meditate, meditate, meditate in remembrance of Him, and find peace. Worry and anguish shall be dispelled from your body.
Verse 3
I have searched through many Shastras and Smritis, and looked through them all. None of them equal the invaluable Name of the Lord, says Nanak.
Verse 4
The God-conscious being is forever unstained, like the lotus in the water that remains untouched.
Verse 5
The God-conscious being is the knower of the Supreme. O Nanak, the God-conscious being is himself the Supreme Lord.
