Guru Granth Sahib 4.7

ਉਡ ਜਾਏਗਾ ਹੰਸ ਅਕੇਲਾ ਜਗ ਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਕਾ ਮੇਲਾ ॥ ਜਾ ਦਿਨ ਪਵਨ ਪਿੰਜਰ ਸੇ ਉਡੈ ਕਹਾਂ ਮਿਲੈ ਸਨੇਹੀ ਝੇਲਾ ॥

ud jaayega hans akela jag darshan ka mela. ja din pavan pinjar se udai kahan milai sanehi jhela.

The swan shall fly away alone; this world is only a spectacle to watch. The day the wind departs from this cage of bones, where will the loved ones be found?

हंस अकेला उड़ जाएगा; यह जग तो दर्शन का मेला है। जिस दिन पवन (प्राण) इस पिंजर (शरीर) से उड़ जाएगी, स्नेही-झेला कहाँ मिलेगा?
