ਫਰੀਦਾ ਜੰਗਲ ਜੰਗਲ ਕਿਆ ਭਵਹਿ ਵਣਿ ਕੰਡਾ ਮੋੜੇਹਿ ॥ ਵਸੀ ਰਬੁ ਹਿਆਲੀਐ ਜੰਗਲੁ ਕਿਆ ਢੂੰਢੇਹਿ ॥

farida jangal jangal kiaa bhaveh van kandaa morheh. vasee rab hiaaleeai jangal kiaa dhundheh.

Farid, why do you roam the jungles, trampling thorns underfoot? Your Lord dwells within your heart — why do you search the wilderness?

फरीदा, तू जंगल-जंगल क्यों भटकता है, वन में काँटे तोड़ता है? रब तेरे हृदय में बसा है — जंगल में क्या ढूँढ़ता है?
