Guru Granth Sahib 6.7

ਪ੍ਰਭ ਜੀ ਤੂ ਚੰਦਨ ਹਮ ਪਾਨੀ ॥ ਜਾ ਕੀ ਅੰਗ ਅੰਗ ਬਾਸ ਸਮਾਨੀ ॥ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਜੀ ਤੂ ਘਨ ਬਨ ਹਮ ਮੋਰਾ ॥ ਚਿਤਵਤ ਚੰਦ ਚਕੋਰ ਕੀ ਨਿਆਈ ॥

prabh ji tu chandan ham paani. ja ki ang ang baas samaani. prabh ji tu ghan ban ham mora. chitvat chand chakor ki niaaee.

Lord, You are the sandalwood and I am the water. Your fragrance permeates every part of me. Lord, You are the rain cloud and I am the peacock. Like the chakor bird gazing at the moon.

हे प्रभु, तू चन्दन है, मैं पानी — जिसकी सुगंध अंग-अंग में समा जाती है। हे प्रभु, तू घन-वन (बादल-वन) है, मैं मोर — जैसे चकोर चन्द्र को निहारता है।
