ਤੇਰਾ ਏਕੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਤਾਰੇ ਸੰਸਾਰੁ ॥ ਮੈ ਏਹਾ ਆਸ ਏਹੋ ਆਧਾਰੁ ॥ ਨਾਨਕ ਕੀ ਬੇਨੰਤੀ ਹਰਿ ਪਹਿ ਗੁਰ ਦੀਜੈ ਸ੍ਰੀਰਾਮ ਨਾਮ ਧਨੁ ॥

teraa ek naam taare sansaar. mai ehaa aas eho aadhaar. naanak kee benantee har pahi gur deejai sreeraaam naam dhan.

Your Name alone, Lord, saves the world. This is my hope; this is my support. Nanak offers this prayer to the Lord: please bless me with the wealth of the Lord's Name.

तेरा एक नाम संसार को तार देता है। मेरी यह आस, यही आधार है। नानक की यह विनती है हरि के पास — गुरु श्रीराम-नाम का धन दे।
