Katha Upanishad

The Katha Upanishad (Kathopanishad) belongs to the Krishna Yajurveda. Set as a dialogue between the boy Nachiketa and Yama (Death), it is among the most beloved Upanishads. It teaches the distinction between the pleasant (Preyas) and the good (Shreyas), the nature of the immortal Self, the chariot metaphor for the body-mind-soul, and the attainment of Brahman beyond death.
