पीतोदका जग्धतृणा दुग्धदोहा निरिन्द्रियाः | अनन्दा नाम ते लोकास्तान् स गच्छति ता ददत् ॥
pitodaka jagdha-trina dugdha-doha nirindriyah | ananda nama te lokas tan sa gacchati ta dadat ||

'These cows have drunk their last water, eaten their last grass, given their last milk, and are spent. Joyless are the worlds to which he goes who gives such gifts.'
'ये गौएँ जल पी चुकीं, घास चर चुकीं, दूध दे चुकीं, सब इन्द्रियाँ क्षीण हो गई हैं। ऐसी गौएँ देने वाला जिन लोकों को जाता है, वे 'अनन्द' नाम के आनन्दहीन लोक हैं।'
