Katha Upanishad 5.2

अङ्गुष्ठमात्रः पुरुषो ज्योतिरिवाधूमकः | ईशानो भूतभव्यस्य स एवाद्य स उ श्वः | एतद्वै तत् ॥

angushtha-matrah purusho jyotir ivadhumakah | ishano bhuta-bhavyasya sa evadya sa u shvah | etad vai tat ||

The Person, of the size of a thumb, is like a light without smoke. He is the lord of what was and what will be. He is the same today and the same tomorrow. This verily is That.

अंगुष्ठ-मात्र पुरुष धूम-रहित ज्योति के समान है। वह भूत और भविष्य का ईशान है। वही आज है, वही कल भी है। यही वह है।
