Katha Upanishad 6.3

यदा सर्वे प्रभिद्यन्ते हृदयस्येह ग्रन्थयः | अथ मर्त्योऽमृतो भवत्येतावद्ध्यनुशासनम् ॥

yada sarve prabhidyante hridayasyeha granthayah | atha martyo'mrito bhavaty etavad dhy anushasanam ||

When all the knots of the heart are cut here, then the mortal becomes immortal. This much is the teaching.

जब यहाँ हृदय की सब ग्रन्थियाँ (गाँठें) खुल जाती हैं, तब मर्त्य अमर हो जाता है — इतनी ही उपनिषद्-शिक्षा है।
