Verse 2

Brahman perceived this in them. It appeared before them, but they did not know what this wondrous Spirit was.

Verse 3

They said to Agni: 'O Jatavedas, find out what this Spirit is.' He said 'Yes.'

Verse 4

He ran towards It. It asked him: 'Who are you?' He replied: 'I am Agni, I am Jatavedas.'

Verse 5

'What power is in you?' 'I can burn all this — whatever is on this earth.'
