Mundaka Upanishad 2.9

अविद्यायां बहुधा वर्तमाना वयं कृतार्था इत्यभिमन्यन्ति बालाः | यत्कर्मिणो न प्रवेदयन्ति रागात्तेनातुराः क्षीणलोकाश्च्यवन्ते ॥

avidyayam bahudha vartamana vayam kritartha ity abhimanyanti balah | yat karmino na pravedayanti ragat tenaturah kshinalokash chyavante ||

Wallowing in ignorance in various ways, the childish think 'We have accomplished our aim.' Because the performers of rites do not understand, being attached, they sink down wretched when their worlds are exhausted.

अविद्या में बहुधा वर्तमान बालबुद्धि लोग सोचते हैं — "हमने लक्ष्य पूरा कर लिया।" आसक्तिवश कर्मवादी नहीं समझते — इसलिए वे आतुर होकर, अपने लोक क्षीण होने पर, पतित होते हैं।
