Mundaka Upanishad 5.2

समाने वृक्षे पुरुषो निमग्नोऽनीशया शोचति मुह्यमानः | जुष्टं यदा पश्यत्यन्यमीशमस्य महिमानमिति वीतशोकः ॥

samane vrikshe purusho nimagno'nishaya shochati muhyamanah | jushtam yada pashyaty anyam isham asya mahimanam iti vita-shokah ||

On the same tree, the individual self, immersed and deluded, grieves on account of its helplessness. But when it sees the other — the Lord, well-pleased — and His glory, it becomes free from sorrow.

इसी वृक्ष पर डूबा हुआ पुरुष — अपनी अनीशता से शोक करता, मोहित होता है। किन्तु जब वह दूसरे ईश को, प्रसन्न देखता है — उसकी महिमा को — तब वह वीतशोक हो जाता है।
