Mundaka Upanishad 6.10

तदेतदृचाभ्युक्तम् — क्रियावन्तः श्रोत्रिया ब्रह्मनिष्ठाः स्वयं जुह्वत एकर्षिं श्रद्धयन्तः | तेषामेवैतां ब्रह्मविद्यां वदेत शिरोव्रतं विधिवद्यैस्तु चीर्णम् ॥

tad etad richabhyuktam — kriyavantah shrotriya brahma-nishthah svayam juhvata ekarshim shraddha-yantah | tesham evaitam brahma-vidyam vadeta shiro-vratam vidhivad yais tu chirnam ||

This is declared by the verse: let one teach this knowledge of Brahman only to those who perform the rites, who are learned in the Vedas, established in Brahman, who themselves offer with faith to the one Rishi, and who have duly performed the rite of carrying fire on the head.

यह ऋचा के द्वारा घोषित है — जो क्रियावान् हैं, श्रोत्रिय हैं, ब्रह्मनिष्ठ हैं, स्वयं एकर्षि के प्रति श्रद्धापूर्वक आहुति देते हैं, जिन्होंने विधिपूर्वक शिरो-व्रत पूरा किया है — उन्हीं को यह ब्रह्म-विद्या कहनी चाहिए।
