Mundaka Upanishad 6.2

कामान्यः कामयते मन्यमानः स कामभिर्जायते तत्र तत्र | पर्याप्तकामस्य कृतात्मनस्तु इहैव सर्वे प्रविलीयन्ति कामाः ॥

kaman yah kamayate manyamanah sa kamabhir jayate tatra tatra | paryapta-kamasya kritatmanas tu ihaiva sarve praviliyanti kamah ||

He who cherishes desires, dwelling on them, is born here and there on account of those desires. But for one whose desires are fulfilled and whose self is perfected — all desires vanish even here in this world.

जो कामनाओं का चिन्तन करते हुए उन्हें चाहता है, वह उन कामनाओं के कारण वहाँ-वहाँ जन्म लेता है। किन्तु जिसकी कामनाएँ पूर्ण हो गईं और जिसका आत्मा कृत (सिद्ध) है — उसकी समस्त कामनाएँ यहीं प्रविलीन हो जाती हैं।
