Mundaka Upanishad 6.4

नायमात्मा बलहीनेन लभ्यो न च प्रमादात्तपसो वाप्यलिङ्गात् | एतैरुपायैर्यतते यस्तु विद्वांस्तस्यैष आत्मा विशते ब्रह्मधाम ॥

nayam atma balahinena labhyo na cha pramadaat tapaso vapy alingaat | etair upayair yatate yas tu vidvams tasyaisha atma vishate brahmadhama ||

This Self is not attained by the weak, nor by the careless, nor through austerity without the right means. But the wise one who strives by these means — his Self enters the abode of Brahman.

यह आत्मा न बलहीन से प्राप्त होता है, न प्रमाद से, न अलिङ्ग (अप्रविभक्त) तप से। जो विद्वान् इन उपायों से प्रयत्न करता है — उसकी आत्मा ब्रह्म-धाम में प्रवेश करती है।
