Mundaka Upanishad 6.8
यथा नद्यः स्यन्दमानाः समुद्रेऽस्तं गच्छन्ति नामरूपे विहाय | तथा विद्वान्नामरूपाद्विमुक्तः परात्परं पुरुषमुपैति दिव्यम् ॥
yatha nadyah syandamanah samudre'stam gacchanti nama-rupe vihaya | tatha vidvan nama-rupad vimuktah parat param purusham upaiti divyam ||

As rivers, flowing into the ocean, disappear, giving up their name and form, so the wise one, freed from name and form, attains the divine Person, higher than the high.
जैसे बहती हुई नदियाँ नाम और रूप छोड़कर समुद्र में अस्त हो जाती हैं — वैसे ही विद्वान् नाम-रूप से मुक्त होकर, पर से भी पर उस दिव्य पुरुष को प्राप्त होता है।
