Prashna Upanishad 3.6

हृदि ह्येष आत्मा | अत्रैतदेकशतं नाडीनां तासां शतं शतमेकैकस्या द्वासप्ततिर्द्वासप्ततिः प्रतिशाखानाडीसहस्राणि भवन्त्यासु व्यानश्चरति ॥

hridi hy esha atma | atraitad ekashatam nadinam tasam shatam shatam ekaikasya dvasaptatir dvasaptatih pratishakha-nadi-sahasrani bhavanty asu vyanash charati ||

In the heart is the Atman. Here there are a hundred and one channels; each of them has a hundred branches, and each branch has seventy-two thousand sub-branches. In these moves Vyana (the diffused breath).

हृदय में ही यह आत्मा है। यहाँ एक सौ एक नाड़ियाँ हैं; प्रत्येक की सौ-सौ शाखायें हैं, और प्रत्येक शाखा की बहत्तर-बहत्तर हज़ार उप-शाखायें — इनमें व्यान विचरण करता है।
