Prashna Upanishad 3.9

तेजो ह वा उदानस्तस्मादुपशान्ततेजाः पुनर्भवमिन्द्रियैर्मनसि सम्पद्यमानैः ॥

tejo ha va udanas tasmad upashantatejah punarbhavam indriyair manasi sampadyamanaih ||

Fire indeed is Udana. Therefore one whose fire has gone out enters rebirth, with the senses merging in the mind.

तेज ही उदान है। इसलिये जिसका तेज उपशान्त हो जाता है, वह इन्द्रियों के मन में लीन हो जाने के साथ पुनर्जन्म को प्राप्त होता है।
