Prashna Upanishad 5.2

तस्मै स होवाच | एतद्वै सत्यकाम परं चापरं च ब्रह्म यदोंकारः | तस्माद्विद्वानेतेनैवायतनेनैकतरमन्वेति ॥

tasmai sa hovacha | etad vai satyakama param chaparam cha brahma yad omkarah | tasmad vidvan etenaivayatanenaikataramanveti ||

To him he said: O Satyakama, the syllable Om is both the higher and the lower Brahman. Therefore the wise one, through this very symbol, reaches one or the other.

उनसे उन्होंने कहा — हे सत्यकाम! ओङ्कार ही पर-ब्रह्म और अपर-ब्रह्म — दोनों है। इसलिये विद्वान् इसी एक आधार के द्वारा दोनों में से किसी एक को प्राप्त करता है।
