Prashna Upanishad 5.8

ऋग्भिरेतं यजुर्भिरन्तरिक्षं सामभिर्यत्तत्कवयो वेदयन्ते | तमोंकारेणैवायतनेनान्वेति विद्वान्यत्तच्छान्तमजरममृतमभयं परं चेति ॥

rigbhir etam yajurbhir antariksha samabhir yat tat kavayo vedayante | tam omkarenaivayatanenarveti vidvan yat tach chhantam ajaram amritam abhayam param cheti ||

By the Rik verses one reaches this world, by the Yajus the intermediate space, and by the Saman that which the seers know. Through the syllable Om alone as the support, the wise one reaches that which is peaceful, undecaying, immortal, fearless — the Supreme.

ऋचाओं से यह (पृथ्वी-लोक), यजुष् से अन्तरिक्ष, और साम से जिस लोक को कवि-जन जानते हैं — उस सबको प्राप्त करता है। विद्वान् उसी ओङ्कार-रूप आश्रय के द्वारा उस शान्त, अजर, अमृत, अभय, परम तत्त्व को पा लेता है।
