Rig Veda 11.3

स इद्भोजो यो गृहवे ददात्यन्नकामाय चरते कृशाय । अरमस्मै भवति यामहूतावुताऽपरीषु कृणुते सखायम् ॥

sa id bhojo yo grihave dadaty anna-kamaya charate krishaya | aram asmai bhavati yam ahutav uta aparishu krinute sakhayam

He alone is the giver who gives to the wanderer who comes in need of food, to the thin and the hungry. It serves him well when called upon, and makes him a friend for the future.

वही सच्चा भोजी है जो भटकने वाले को अन्न देता है, दुबले-भूखे को देता है। उसके बुलाने पर पदार्थ हाज़िर होते हैं, और वह भविष्य के लिए भी मित्र बनाता है।
