Rig Veda 11.7

कृषन्निदासो अतसाय विक्रमे पन्थामन्विद् भुवनस्य गोपाः । हिरण्ययी रथ आ भर्ता नु एषः ॥

krishan nid aso atasaya vikrame pantham anvid bhuvanasya gopah | hiranyayi ratha a bharta nu eshah

The ploughshare cleaves the earth and strides toward sustenance, finding the path. The guardian of the world — this one bears the golden chariot.

हलवाह पृथ्वी को चीरता हुआ आहार की ओर बढ़ता है, मार्ग पाता है — वह भुवन का रक्षक। वही स्वर्ण-रथ को धारण करता है।
