Rig Veda 11.8

अरदो हस्तिनमिवोप तिष्ठमानो भक्षत् । कुवित्सोऽस्मिन्परि ददात ॥

arado hastinam iva upa tishthamano bhakshat | kuvit so'smin pari dadat

One with two feet overcomes one with four. How fitting it would be if he would share with others.

दो पैरों वाला चार पैरों वाले पर विजय पा लेता है — कितना उचित हो यदि वह दूसरों के साथ भी बाँटे।
