Rig Veda 12.4

यस्येमे हिमवन्तो महित्वा यस्य समुद्रं रसया सहाहुः । यस्येमाः प्रदिशो यस्य बाहू कस्मै देवाय हविषा विधेम ॥

yasyeme himavanto mahitva yasya samudram rasaya sahahuh | yasya imah pradisho yasya bahu kasmai devaya havisha vidhema

He whose greatness these snow-clad mountains proclaim, whose are the ocean and the river — whose are these directions, whose are these arms — to which god shall we offer our sacrifice?

जिनकी महिमा को ये हिमवान् पर्वत घोषित करते हैं, जिनकी हैं ये समुद्र और रसा नदी — जिनकी हैं ये दिशाएँ, जिनकी हैं ये बाहुएँ। किस देव को हम हवि से पूजें?
