Rig Veda 9.12

उच्छ्वञ्चमाना पृथिवी सु तिष्ठतु सहस्रं मित आ उपस्तम्भम् । ते गृहासो घृतश्चुतो भवन्तु विश्वाहाऽस्मैशरणाः सन्तु अत्र ॥

uchchhvanchamana prithivi su tishthatu sahasram mita a upastambham | te grihaso ghritashchuto bhavantu vishvaha'smai sharanah santu atra

May the earth open wide and stand firm, supported by a thousand pillars. May those dwellings be dripping with ghee. May they forever be shelters for him there.

पृथ्वी खुलकर स्थिर रहे — सहस्र खम्भों से सँभाली हुई। वे गृह घृत से सिंचित हों; वे सदा उसके लिए शरण बनें।
