Rig Veda 9.7

इमा नारीरविधवाः सुपत्नीराञ्जनेन सर्पिषा सं विशन्तु । अनश्रवो ऽनमीवाः सुरत्ना आ रोहन्तु जनयो योनिमग्रे ॥

ima narir avidhavah supatniir anjanena sarpishhaa sam vishantu | anashravo anamivah suratna a rohantu janayo yonim agre

Let these women, not widowed, with good husbands, anoint themselves with ghee and enter. Without tears, without sickness, well-adorned, let the wives go up first to the abode.

ये अविधवा, सुपत्नी स्त्रियाँ अञ्जन और घृत के साथ प्रवेश करें। बिना अश्रु के, बिना रोग के, अच्छे आभूषणों से सज्जित — पत्नियाँ पहले स्थान पर चढ़ें।
