Tao Te Ching 6.1

谷神不死，是謂玄牝。玄牝之門，是謂天地根。綿綿若存，用之不勤。

gu shen bu si, shi wei xuan pin. xuan pin zhi men, shi wei tian di gen. mian mian ruo cun, yong zhi bu qin.

The spirit of the valley never dies; it is called the mysterious feminine. The gateway of the mysterious feminine is called the root of heaven and earth. Lingering like gossamer, it seems barely to exist, yet when drawn upon it is inexhaustible.

घाटी की आत्मा कभी नहीं मरती — उसे ही गूढ़ स्त्री कहते हैं। गूढ़ स्त्री का द्वार — उसे ही आकाश और पृथ्वी का मूल कहते हैं। सूक्ष्म-सूक्ष्म, मानो बस टिकी हुई हो; जितनी बरती जाए उतनी अक्षय।
