Verse 1
Concentration is the binding of the mind to one place.
Verse 2
Meditation is the continuous flow of cognition toward that object.
Verse 3
When that meditation shines forth as the object alone, as if devoid of its own form, that is samadhi.
Verse 4
The three together — concentration, meditation, and samadhi — constitute samyama.
Verse 5
From mastery of samyama comes the light of higher consciousness.
