Verse 1

Supernatural powers arise from birth, herbs, mantras, austerities, or samadhi.

Transformation into another state of being is brought about by the inflow of prakriti.

The incidental cause does not set prakriti in motion; it merely removes the obstacles, like a farmer clearing a channel for water.

Created minds arise from ego-sense alone.

Though the activities of the created minds differ, the one original mind directs them all.
